Intercoms & Video Door Entry – Wellington Region

Intercoms and video door stations let you see and speak to visitors and couriers before you let them in — at a lobby door, a staff entrance, a driveway gate or a car-park barrier.

We design and install intercom and video door entry systems for apartment complexes, office buildings, shops, workshops and rural properties across the Wellington region, tied into access control, gate automation and CCTV so entry is managed as one system.

Where intercoms earn their keep

  • Apartment complexes — visitors and deliveries reach the right unit, and residents decide who comes in
  • Offices and commercial buildings — reception and staff entrances, with after-hours deliveries handled cleanly
  • Shops and workshops — back doors and yards where nobody is standing at the counter
  • Gates and driveways — farms, lifestyle blocks and business yards, with the gate released from the intercom

What we install

  • Video door stations and audio intercoms matched to each entrance
  • Entry panels with card, fob or keypad readers for residents and staff
  • Electric strikes and maglocks that release the door when entry is approved
  • Gate and barrier arm integration so vehicle and pedestrian entry work together
  • CCTV covering the same entrances, with secure recording and remote viewing
  • Maintenance and upgrades for systems already on site

Planned properly

Before we quote, we look at how many entrances and units the system has to serve, how it will be powered and what happens in a power cut — we specify fail-secure or fail-safe hardware and backup power to suit the site. Where cabling is difficult, 4G and Wi-Fi links can reach gates, sheds and outbuildings.

How it works

  1. Free site assessment — we walk the entrances, gates and common areas with you
  2. Clear plan and quote — stations, readers, door and gate hardware, with options
  3. Tidy install and handover — labelled, tested, with training for whoever administers access
  4. Ongoing care — optional monitoring, annual servicing and local support

We’re PSPLA-licensed, insured and health & safety compliant, and we work to NZ standards.

Common questions

Can an intercom open a gate or a barrier arm?

Yes. We integrate intercoms with access control, gate automation and barrier arms, so a visitor can be seen, spoken to and let in at a pedestrian door or a vehicle entrance from the same system.

Do you fit intercoms to buildings that are already occupied?

Yes. We assess the building on a site walk-through, reuse good cabling where we can, and use 4G or Wi-Fi links where running new cable isn't practical.

Should we choose audio or video?

It depends on the entrance. Video door stations suit apartment lobbies, offices and anywhere deliveries arrive. We'll recommend what fits each entrance and your budget on the site visit.

Can you add to the intercom or access system we already have?

Often, yes. We assess what's there, service it, and add stations, readers or cameras where coverage is weak, replacing only what's needed.
